Sink Drain
Category : service
Customer input: We’ve had on-going trouble with a drain that runs from the kitchen sink down the basement wall then goes across the room under the floor to a drain. Its backed up again and water is coming up from the cement floor around where it goes into the concrete floor.
NEO findings: Found that drain did not go to the floor drain as thought but under cement slab and empties/tied to 4″ main soil pipe where it exits the house. Water was coming up around base of drain pipe and across the floor along the edge of the block wall.
NEO actions: Hammered up concrete slab around drain and found cracked/partially collapsed cast iron pipe. Cut out a section and spliced in new ABS pipe to repair. Snaked line to be sure it was open to soil pipe.
